When you use Mentory, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and — for mentors — UPSC rank details, marksheets, and other credentials submitted for verification. When you book a session, payment is processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves.
We use your information to operate the platform: creating and managing your account, verifying mentor credentials, processing bookings and payments, sending booking and account-related emails, and improving Mentory over time. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
When you book a session, your name, email, and phone number are shared with the mentor you booked, so they can reach you about the session. This is the only case where your contact details are shared with another user.
For your own safety, please do not share sensitive personal information — such as passwords, one-time codes (OTPs), bank account or card details, government ID numbers, or home addresses — with other users, including mentors, through chat, email, or during a session. Mentory will never ask you for your password or a login code over email or phone. All payments should only go through Mentory's official checkout — never a private transfer requested outside the platform.
Mentory relies on a small number of trusted service providers to operate: Supabase (account and data storage), Razorpay (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery). Each of these providers processes your data only as needed to provide their specific service to us.
You can update your profile information at any time from your dashboard. If you'd like your account or data removed, contact us and we'll assist.
